Today is the day our country observes Women’s Equality Day. But I challenge you to read your history, see how far we have come and how far we still need to go. History is a great teacher of our strengths and weaknesses. There were women who fought for and against equal rights. I thank those that came before me and kept fighting for equality, because it was their bravery and perseverance that opened so many doors for women of today, including myself. I am forever humbled by their actions.
