I was recently at a Judicial Summit on Mental Health. We were able to see an advanced screening of HBOs Documentary Ernie & Joe: Crisis Cops. It is a great look at how special programs can make a difference in a community.
Our Mental Health Divert Court is in it’s 3rd year of existence. We work with Tropical Texas Behavioral Health, the Cameron County District Attorneys office and Cameron County Adult Probation. Many of the participants work to overcome substance abuse issues, towards understanding their mental health and take steps to stabilize their lives. #MentalHealth #CommunityIntervention #SpecialtyCourtDocket
